We use 3v LCD modules made by SunLike (Taiwan). There are a few others around that we experimented with but never used in production. Some of them require additional work on the contrast voltage (going to ground wasn't low enough so we tapped off of the neg voltage output of the switcher in the MAX232).
They are definitely hard to find but they are out there. I will try and locate the other companies when I get to work tomorrow... |
