#152964 - I2C pullup requirements |
I'm a little confused on the required pullup resistors for I2C. In the I2C manual from Philips (NXP) http://www.nxp.com/acrobat_d...0204_3.pdf , they show pullup resistors for both SDA and SCL, but in the datasheet for P82B715 I2C bus extender http://www.nxp.com/acrobat_d...B715_6.pdf , they only show pullups for SDA and none for SCL. Is it implied that there are pullups on SCL and they just left them out for clarity? All the threads I've read here on the subject show pullups for both, but the extender wasn't used.
