There is a Micromouse competition coming at my son's college in March second week.

I have heard about this stuff and read through some brief outlines and also seen the YouTube video link posted by Steve. Good.

I am sure there are lots of ready made kits out there but I would like to go at it from scratch both on hardware and software front. Hardware is not appearing as very tough right now. But the one thing that is going to be tough is the routing algorithm for the mouse. Frankly I do not know where to start ! Any links to some sites that discuss the pros and cons of various ideas on this ?

First I need to be sure of this before I can tutor my son...
