I read about DDE that you pointed as an example, unfortunatly I don't have good experience in programming for PCs, but it seems Windows APIs are good examples of middlewares.
Now I'm trying to find a few examples of middlewares in distributed control systems, I think APIs as middleware are software modules that communicate between diffrent applications running by one processor. anyway I feel my lack of knowledge about operating systems cause some confusion. maybe it's better for me to get more information about OS first. in addition I've downloaded IAR PowerPac datasheet to see what is it in it. maybe I ask about this subject with more knowledge later, Thank you for information and example.
