After two days of "trying" I think the TCP/IP stuff is just starting to make some sense. Have been reading intently at various resources and books and the larger picture is now starting to emerge. The problem with trying to learn a new topic as part of hobby places an immense strain on time resources - and the subject is so vast that its foolish to try to grab in two days. And knowing which chapter to read that will address your specific problem is key. What was a surprise a few days back is no longer so ! Raghu |
