What I think you're saying is that you have a serially interfaced LCD, the control of which is handled by a PIC.
I think the entire problem will become clear to you once you read and understand the specification of the LCD. The PIC has to initialize it and properly time its accesses to it. The serial interface to the PIC, which you're monitoring via Hyperterminal, may contain controls/commands that you don't recognize. You also must read and understand the specifications for the serial interface channel controller, which is that PIC. Once you know what the characters sent to it will do, and what the LCD requires, you will understand what's going on. RE |
