When device A is using the bus, say, for a write, then device B has to wait its turn. It's always been like that, since the bus cycle has timing constraints. you can't just willy-nilly plow in there and seize the bus. You have to arbitrate for it, which means waiting your turn, however that's established.
The O/P has to solve the problem of how to interpose his device between the PIC and the LCD. Of course, he hasn't said why he wants to do this or what his ultimate purpose might be. That's typical. RE |
