#147314 - If bEAGLE would generate a netlist
Responding to: ???'s previous message
The problem with bEAGLE, at least last time I used it, was that it didn't generate a netlist that you could use for anything. It didn't even produce decent useable output in HPGL. However, if you could generate a netlist, say in EDIF format, then you could generate that same schematic in some other capture package, e.g. OrCAD and then simply compare the netlist output. That would ensure that any errors are caught.

Now, I don't know that the Windows-version of OrCAD will generate a useable netlist. I use the old DOS-based OrCAD386+ stuff, since it's faster and much less hassle, and lets me produce nice-looking schematics, unlike any other package I've seen.

Nevertheless, if you can find a common netlist output, it will help identify drafting errors pretty effectively.
