if you are overwhelmed with administrative work
Fortunately, I am not, my "administrative work" comes to about 1 hr/week. I merely used that to indicate that the theoritical candidate would be working in a vacuum. my take: knowledge 25 design 30 coding 20 debugging 25 why these scores? well if you have the knowledge and know how to design, you do not need a lot of coding skills, the coding is easy if you know what you are working with and have a good basic design to code from. As to coding and debugging: I once had one of the best programmers I ever worked with (thousands of lines of code and, maybe, one error) but his debugging skills were negative (when he tried to debug, he introduced more errors) If he were to work in a vacuum. he would be totally lost.
