#140376 - Limited? Responding to: ???'s previous message |

How on earth do these little GPS systems store all the maps and evaluate routes in the limited (alright, if not by 8052 standards) memory available I s'pose the first question is: just how "limited" is their memory? Gigabyte USB memory sticks now cost only a few pounds - you could store quite a lot of map data in that! I have an old (~2000) OS "Interactive Atlas of Great Britain" - it's a single CD with the whole of GB at 1:250000, plus selected areas at 1:50000 and 1:25000, and some vides clips, etc, etc So that's maps, Windows application, and extras all in <650M bytes... |
