That sounds reasonable. But I don't know this: are all derivatives created equal? In other words, do all derivatives take the same number of processor cycles to execute a given instruction? Or would we still have to specify a particular derivative for the purposes of a contest?
some 1, 2 and 4 clockers use an extra instruction cycle for a few instructions. however if you are going for 'fast' it would be ridiculous to start out with a `12 clcoker. Erik |
