#138740 - More Details
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Sorry for replying late.

The actual project is very very simple. 2 proximity switches one to switch relay ON and the other to switch the relay OFF.

I think this can be handled with a simple flip-flop. But they need to maintain the status of the relay when the power goes off.

The first thing came to my mind is a latching relay. (But the availability in the local market is the thing made me to think an alternate).

As Erik said if I use a eeprom to store the status, I have to use an micro controller which makes the product costlier.

Here in South India I don't even get low pin count micro controllers. The least available in the market is 20pin at89c2051.

I think now you can understand my need.

Thanks for all your help.
Pls keep me informed.

Nandhu

Note: Sorry for my bad English
