Why not?
It's usually written on the battery! I am thinking the same too. However, i have been searching all over the battery surface but i still could not see anything close to it. If i am not mistaken, the capacity of a battery is normally shown only on rechargable battery. It wont be written on a normal one-time-use battery. You said you are regulating the 9V battery down to 5V; as I said to you before, if you're using a linear regulator, then you are throwing away nearly half of the battery's capacity!!
http://www.8052.com/forum/read.phtml?id=135679? See above - do not use a linear regulator! The way to get the most out of a "battery" is to use a single cell and a switching regulator. Great information, i did not noticed the significance of a switching regulator until you mentioned it. Are you referring to a Buck Converter? Will start looking for information about it now. Any idea of what model of this switching regulator am i supposed to look for? P/S- Thank you very much for the rest of the information, there are many things explained by you that i previously know nothing about :) |
