Hi.

I'm hoping someone can help me with the above chip - I've googled for a datasheet, but the closest I can get is that Fairchild recommend the 93C46 as a replacement. I don't want to assume that the 93C46 is just a drop-in replacement, and when I try reading the ADC46 I have like a 93C46 I just get what looks like garbage.

The full marking on the chip is 811ADC46AM8

Questions:

Does the Fairchild chip use 8-bit, or 16-bit organisation? (or does it use an org pin to select. If it does, it's floating on the board I have)?

Is the pinout and timing the same as a 93C46?

Even better, does anyone have a datasheet?
