It is a fact that the current technology is USB and nothing else. For that reason you are kind of screwed if you buy a laptop since most of the 'in line' converters only work for the 'normal' purpose (e.g. USB to serial will drive a modem, but not a programmer ...)
I know of only two ways to get around this a) buy USB gear b) use cards that provide the plug you need. Erik |
