#129504 - CAN behaviour with erronuous duplicate IDs |
Has someone experience or knowledge, what different chips will do, if two nodes start sending a CAN message with identical ID but different data.
As far as I know, this will end in an error because both nodes will try to repeat their message until they reach threshold of an error counter then will stop sending. But it will not be possible to distinguish if it was a duplicate message or if it is maybe a hardware failure.. I have to contribute to a solution were redundant masters could adress the same group of slaves. Thanks for some input Werner |
