#129420 - Craig Steiners 8051 Book |
Hi to all members:
I been reading The 8051/8052 Microcontroller book for 3 weeks now,and Its been helping me understand terms in assembly langauge that completely confused me before. And now is allowing me to read other programmers source code and understand most of it. I still have long way to go but now I do not feel as upset learning to work with the instruction set. I still have much to study but I wrote this for newbies to read so they would know their is book to read to help any newbie to learn to program the 8051 core part as long as they are willing to read the book more then once and try the examples on a simulator like craigs Pinnacle 52 Integrated Development Environment. I also recommend John Kopplins 8051 Simulator which has 3 parts to it on cd part 1 teaches RPN calculator part 2 8051 assembly langauge part 3 C language. All this for $19. His home page is http://computersciencelab.com I think Craigs book goes for $60 thats fair price for this type of book. Any way that my two cents and then sum. I hope this thread helps some new member of 8052.com. Learning assembly language is a long learning curve but well worth the time put in on it. comments are welcome. Best regards, Ralph S |
