Youve got a CD with 200 MBytes of white noise ?
interesting....:-) before you say it I know nobody has ever proved that pi is normal. Normal? If you meant irrational, then yes, it has been proven that pi is irrational. The ancient Greeks knew it. You're correct that the digits of pi are a good source of white noise. Somewhere online there's a program that people use to convert the data to ascii and search for 'messages'. Since there are infinitely many digits, and it's random, it's guaranteed that if you search long enough, you can find any message you want. Somewhere in there, it says "Hi, Jez!" :-) |
