#126253 - I know 20 Responding to: ???'s previous message |
A story:
When I was a teenager, I went ocassionally to various math camps (there was a network of enthusiasts mainly from universities organizing this for kids). In one of those camps they tried to sort us into groups, based on various skills (including sports and general cultural overview, but that's not the issue). They always picked a group of 4 and gave a task. In my group, the task was to write down as much digits of pi as possible in 1 minute. I knew 20 (I still do: 3.14159265358979323846 I did not cheat), and that put me on position... 4... The best had 50, the supervisors put together over 200. JW |
