Steve It is again related to price, I also had samples of DC motor but with DC motor I have to use an encoder or anyother feedback device that is cheaper than encoder, Cheaper stuff have their own down sides as mounting, controlling becomes an issue, if it was few motors per annum than I can live with it but for around 3000 motors per annum I doubt my production department will approve that. A colleague and I have built a number of successful systems involving stepper motors (he designed the hardware; I wrote the code). The only glitch is that we're in the US. I appreciate your assistance Russ but I am afraid I would like to have face to face training. As I have been struggling for quite some time with these motors so now I am absolutly exhausted and would like to get to the bottom of this by having proper guidance and training. Regards Omar |
