... it's the reverse of the same effect. Seebeck = Peltier-1, so to say :-)

Peltier: temperature difference as a consequence of current flowing through (two) inhomogeneous (usually PN) junction
Seebeck: voltage (current flow) as a consequence of temperature difference on those junctions

PS. In steam engines, part of the exhaust (low pressure) steam was used to create additional air draft using an injector system (through Venturi-effect (?)); couldn't this be used here - no moving parts, no low-voltage electricity
