#123907 - Best 485 Cable In Industrial Environment
Dear Peoples,
1)
For a long 485(Half Duplex) Network (with around 150-200 node)and a distance of 4000 feet,Can I use a 4 core shilded ("SAXTON data Cable") 24 AWG cable, But it is not twisted, However all 4 cores are twisted themselve in package.Cable have sheild.
Or do you recommend me some other cable in CAT5 - CAT 6...UTP/STP
Like
8 core UTP (24AWG)
Or
8 core STP (24AWG)

2)
If I use 4 pair Twisted pair cable th only two pair is sufficient for Data and Ground. Can I use one un-used pair for 18-24 volt supply for MicroContoller. On each node, a 7805 is being used for DC to DC conversion. So Can I use the any pair for DC supply. The maximum Distance between two node is 100 Feet.

Recommend me Please, Thanks

MOIZI
