I'd recommend you rather to get out and find a decent USP/RS232 cable. You need to look inside, what sort of chip are they using.
Unfortunately, the cheaper tend to be populated by Prolific chip, which are known to fail for ISP. Also, Oleg Sergeev and maybe others might recommend you USB-based RD2-derivatives by Atmel (ex-Temic) - AFAIK, nothing like that by Philips. Jan Waclawek |
