the SDCC manual contains a short note about using splint in section 3.2.8 "Other Options", "more-pedantic".

It would be nice if more detailled instructions would be fed into that manual (section 5.x). A mail with ASCII text to sdcc-devel would do.

If maintaining a Splint FAQ separately would make more sense, the manual could/would give a link to it.
