When you mention the 48x84 nokia LCD, I am assume that you mean the Nokia 3310 or equivalent lcds, if that is the case then it is better to take them out from the plastic keyboard assembly because then you get the brass connector as well. It is not very difficult to take them out if you use a sharp micro shear to cut the plastic tabs. Here in Bangalore, seperate glass display only, without the plastic keyboard assembly is available but the price is almost the same, but I am not sure whether the connector would be available seperately, and if it is then it has to be purchased seperately. By the way how are you going to mount the plain lcd on your pcb? I am planning to mould a plastic cover and backplate for the plain lcd. If you are intereseted I can send some of them to you if you are interested and when they are ready. Regards, John. |
