#120136 - The great Mumbaikar spirit. Responding to: ???'s previous message |
I have had many mails from fellow forum members. Thanks to all of you for your concern.
What the world knew is about the direct effects - death and injury. The indirect agony of millions of people who were stranded when the train services were called off suddenly was immense. And the monsoon rain was no help at all. But then Mumbai as a city has endured and won many such crisis and will do so this time around too. Great people there. Mankind has won over many ailments that at first glance looked intimidating. Thus terrorism or injuring the innocents looks to be a cancer with no cure today. But then its only for today. I firmly belive that tomorrow will be different. Raghu |
