#119878 - Why is it raining, sunny, snowing, windy...
Responding to: ???'s previous message
The English weather is nowhere near as bad as people make out. Because we are a faily small island we have a maritime climate which basically means our weather is very variable. Because the sea acts like a large capacitor storing (heat) energy, we do not have great extremes of weather either so it rarely goes below freezing in winter and rarely above 30 Celsius in summer. Also you rarely get more than a week of the same weather each day. About all you can say is that in the summer it is more often sunny and warm than it is in the winter ;-)

A friend of mine worked in Palo Alto (USA) for a few years and hated the weather - it was hot and sunny just about every day - so boring!
