to parallel without "sharing resistors', there must be a prallleling pin on the units. Many switchers use MOS transistors in parallel and using the 'prallelling pin' makes the drive of the MOSfets parallel. That makes it the equal of ONE power supply with twice as many MOSfets in parallel. Do note that supplies with parallel MOSfets have separate inductors for each of them.
