Roughly, there are more types of SMS, besides the "common" type there are "special" SMS, the most often used is so called FLASH, which is supposed to be displayed immediately, and also some are flaggeed as not to be stored as you experienced.
They are distinguished in the "header", transmitted from BTS to phone with the SMS, hidden to the user. Jan Waclawek PS. There are the ETSI standards for GSM around mostly for free, but these "pieces of interest" are hidden in zillions of pages of uninteresting protocols and stuff... |
