If there's a "thing" about a given MCU that particularly annoys you, gets in your way, or whatever, then getting around it makes it SEEM lots better, even if someone else, not so annoyed by that same aspect, doesn't perceive it as such.

I don't think it's delusional. A guy's got a right to be proud of his work product.
