I recently purchased a USB to Serial Adapter off of EBAY. It was priced about the same as the one you indicated. Shipping cost was about $4.00 (US) with a tracking number provided (www.usps.com). It took about four days for the software to arrive. I received the driver on a small (3.25" diameter) CD which my computer couldn't use (can only use older CD with 4.5" diameter 650 MB). I contacted the seller of the CD and asked for the drivers on a CD my computer could read and was told he couldn't help. I have not used the cable yet so I can't tell you if there are going to be other problems. I expect the cable will perform as designed when the need comes to use it.

The USB to Serial Adapter you referenced has a web site where you can down a driver for it. It might be handy to have around. That web site is.
