Hm. Phone screens might be the way to go, but it still seems a bit too integrated for my clumsy hands =)
Anyway, on the refresh rate - since what I'd like to build is some kind of a game, I'd need to be able to update the screen fast enough for it to be 'playable'; hence I'm looking for low-res screens. If the 128x64 screens had enough display memory to store two "screenfuls" so that I could implement double buffering, they would be good enough (I guess), but the displays apparently only sport just enough memory to fill the screen. I'm also not sure if I could upload data fast enough to the screen for it to be playable, and the game should do other stuff than just send new graphic data to the screen.. Like I said before, I'm probably looking for wrong things. |
