#113794 - Too much work to kick and scream
Responding to: ???'s previous message
Erik,

At this point I'm looking at your suggested solution as the best option. I did find a replacement for the uPD7225 but it's still not available in RoHS format (Lead free to the unitiated).

Because I have too much pride to kick and scream is it OK to enter the 3.3V world with just a whimper and a worry?

This would be a great opportunity for someone to hi-jack this thread and start a pro-con argument for the European RoHS laws that kick in on 1 July. Maybe it would get moved to the Chat Board or perhaps it's relevant enough to stay on the Message Board.

Anyway, thanks for your suggestion Erik.

Regards,

Bert
