#112471 - Congratulations! Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Congratulations Jez! If this is your first, then get prepared for the world to change. Your girlfriend has been living with this new little bundle of joy for months now. You've only known about him/her, but except for occassionally feeling him/her kick through your girl friend's belly you haven't really gotten to know him/her.
But in the hospital, when the nurse puts him/her in your arms for the first time, in that very instant, your world will change forever. There simply are no words to explain how fast you're going to fall in love with your child, but suffice it to say that from that instant on you won't be able to imagine going back to what you know now. So women get to share that special maternal bond that comes from 9 months of gestation, and we will never get to know what that's like. On the other hand, they will never get to know what it's like to truely experience genuine "love at first sight," the intensity of that first moment of fatherhood. And the best part is that it never really fades. So congratulations Jez. And send pictures! Joe |
