#111044 - document renaming! Responding to: ???'s previous message |

There seem to be two goals when organising datasheets. One goal is to quickly find the datasheet for a specific part so that you can check a specific fact. The second goal is to be able to quickly find a selection of similar devices of a different catagory, e.g. 8bit Flash micros, 16bit micros without ROM etc. I organise my stuff with the first goal in mind and use tables for the second. Exactly; but as I mentioned above, I concluded that it is better to organize the datasheets per function; looking up a part by name equals to look up a file by name (which is easy to accomplish in any file manager) - of course, I am renaming the files appropriately to include the part name (I would not do even this if I would have a search tool which can read the insides of pdfs - anybody came across of such?).
