the phillips 7XX are not flash. OTP means no tweaks, and be perfect the frist, and if you make a mistake you need to a soldering iron. The Old 750/1/2 was nice. The 89C2051/89C4051 is a maybe. It just seems there should be more. As far as the PIC they are not to bad in C. Besides the shallow stack and the common interupt. They can be limiting. It just seems that latley the PIC ends up to be a better soultion for the small stuff. The Only "80C31" stuff I do is updates to some "Cidiot" code. |
