#107876 - lm311 |
hello all.
A very happy 2006 to everyone. I wish you all the best for this year. My question is regarding the LM311 comparator. I have a book that says that when using a pull up resistor on the open collector output, the output should go low when the non inverting input is greater than the inverting input (due to the transistor being switched on), and the output should go high when the non inverting input is less than the inverting input (due to the transistor being switched on). When I hooked up the cct, my results were the oposite. I got an output high when the non inverting o/p was greater than the inverting o/p. And an output low when the non inverting output was less than the inverting output....... Who is correct, the book or my experiment???? Thank you for your time sun |
