#103348 - tig Responding to: ???'s previous message |
I have a power source capable of lift start tig but have never invested in the torch cooler and gas supply to set it up as I really have no need for it.
I have looked at the plans for aftermarket hf starts and they scare me silly. I have several factory schematics but all are part of an overall machine not stand alone. These usually involve a winding on the main transformer or a separate transormer with no real data to allow proper selection of an off the shelf equivqlent. The inverter based tig welders seem much more bang for the buck but it is a big buck. (Miller maxstar 150 STL 1499.99 CDN) on sale Terry |
