I don't have an answer of any places to buy in Chicago, but if you have a few days notice, you can place an order with Digikey and have it shipped to wherever your friend is staying in Chicago and it'll be waiting for him when he gets there.
If shipping to a hotel, you might call the hotel ahead of time--but most of the time there'll be no problem if you ship it to the name of your friend and include a notation in the shipment that says something like "Guest: Oct 30 2005" so they know when he'll be there. Regards, Craig Steiner |
