#100801 - CS:IP Responding to: ???'s previous message |
when the microcontroller reaches to fffffth memory location it rolls over to 00000th memory location obviously rebooting the system how? the x86 memory is segmented and any adress has two parts. offset is stored in IP(instruction pointer) and segment in the CS, IP is incremented CS is not, it is only loaded when a FAR jump or call is made.
