Only lately, I downloaded and installed "MIDE-51 Studio" that uses the "Emulator 8051 V1.0" for simulation. I didn't test it yet with a code having a greater length than 1 Kbyte. I had always the impression that there is no reason for it to be limited concerning the code length. But now, I think it is time for me to find out that indeed the version I have is limited to 1 Kbyte of code. Anyway, you are totally right that serious programmers cannot be interested in being familiar with a simulator having such limitation. Even the old small MCU from Atmel (AT89C2051) has 2 Kbyte. KF |
