#190584 - Very good DAC's Responding to: ???'s previous message |
The DACs work very well, and it is the cheapest MCU at Digikey with >=10b DAC. Tests indicate you can INC(DACH) at 36MHz for controlled ramps. Jan Waclawek said:
72MHz, no jump cache. There is a small cache, that complicates timing above 25Mhz, but tests indicate if you use ALIGN 4 then opcodes like DJNZ Rn,$ and JNB Bit,$ can execute in the cache at full speed. Jan Waclawek said:
Fair mix of peripherals. 3V-only (with some 5V tolerance), as is usual with SiLabs. OTOH, prices start at a very pleasant sub-$, top $2. Yes, good prices and like the EFM8UB1, this has small FIFOs on the i2c Slave & SPI & UARTS. The i2c Slave is an Async block, so you can vary the Oscillator and communicate fine. Looks ideally suited as a slave to Raspberry Pi's Jan Waclawek said:
... and the very first item in errata is, ehm, disturbing... Yes, but they are fixing that. However, missing is the ability to hit full core speed with a Crystal. 100MHz timers would have been nice too... |
