Since there is a resistor on the emitter of Q1 you can connect it directly to the base but it is better to use a series resistor to protect the uController pin.
You should also put pull down resistor on the base of Q1 to make sure it stays off once the micrcontroller in reset or undetermined state. Mahmood |
