I really wouldn't use the old EPROM based 8051s anymore - just buy a flash one for 5 bucks. Programming EPROMS needs specialist hardware, erasing them needs more specialist hardware. You COULD build an EPROM emulator, but to be honest, these days, life's too short.
For not much more than 40 bucks, you can buy a SiLabs eval kit, with EVERYTHING. |
