Presumably adding debug info would change the size of the HEX file by more than a few bytes. Anyway I changed nothing at all (and no debug or other options) except a source file name. Even then it only made a difference if the length of the filename or rather the length of the overall path was different. If I changed a name for another comprising the same number of characters, the hex file size was unchanged.
Yes, wierd. Feel free to say I'm wrong. We were close to (39 bytes at one point IIRC) the 64kb code size limit and had no way in hardware to allow code banking. |
