#188128 - AT89S8253 Oscillator |
I understand the oscillator on the AT89S8253 is a bit different from the rest of the AT89S line. I notice that the data sheet calls for lower value burden caps...10pF +/-5pF whereas most other AT89S chips call for 30pF +/-10pF for the burden caps.
Just how critical is this? Has anyone ever tested an S8253 with values around 33pF? What were your results? I've been working with the S8253 for about 8 months now. On a bread board with 10pF burden caps on a 12MHz xtal I don't experience any oscillator start up issues. |
