It's 3 km (2 miles) so about 30 min walk or 10 min by bicycle.

It would probably take 15 min with car, if I'm reasonably lucky with parking space.

So yes, I prefer to walk all year round. Even if -25°C or colder, you don't need too extreme clothing to handle just 30 minutes. You would freeze more waiting for a bus.

Office is at center of city so if I don't need to buy too much, I can get access to most shops by foot too. And the airport is about 15-20 minutes by car from where I live, if I need physical access to the world. One of the advantages of living in a city with just a bit over 100k people.
