#178288 - software PWM |
Hi guys and girls!
I am working on a low budget project, which needs 6 - 8 PWM outputs. Ramtron do make a 8051 with 8 PWM outputs. Unfortunately Ramtrons is having major problems switching wafer vendor, and their chips isn't recommended right now. It's, however, also quite expensive. Sourcing components can be quite problematic these days, where simple parts as a 2,2uf X2 cap can have 42 weeks leadtime! So I thought of picking a std. 8051 device, and then doing my PWM in a separate cheap controller. I got some P89LPC922 in stock, which include a hardware i2c port. I could simply roll my self a super PWM i2c slave. Is there something I haven't seen? Any caveats? Per |
