#176474 - At least one LED and an EEPROM too
Responding to: ???'s previous message
The idea of the FTDI USB cable is great and I'll get a couple.

Be sure to have a red LED to show when power is ON and put a green LED with FET driver on the daughterboard to aid testing new designs (BLINKY), especially if working with a new variant micro that requires special handling of the SFR's (such as the Silabs parts). I also added a 24C512 serial EEPROM on this daughterboard just for the fun of it.

A 3V version of the daughterboard would also be usefull.

As far as pin-out of the header(s) is concerned, anything that works for you is OK as long as it is not possible to plug the daughterboard in backwards. A few spare pins for future expansion wouldn't hurt either.

Cheers,

Bert
