#176333 - AT89S51 ISP programing in linux Responding to: ???'s previous message |
Hi Andy,
I switched to linux as i like it and also there is one specific reason. I am involved in analysis of network traffic using wireshark network protocol analyser and this sw provides it full functionality in linux environment. I am fully satisfied with it. Usb and RS232 options does exist but the SPI bus in AT89S51 works in custom protocol that doesnot match with any other easily available connectivity. The chip has UART but it doesnot allow programming of internal flash through UART. And for in system programming of the chip it the easiest way to use the ISP bus as it required only three wires to cnnect. Thanks |
